  • These documents let someone you trust act for you if you can’t. We prepare a Durable Power of Attorney for finances, a Health Care Power of Attorney, HIPAA releases, and, when appropriate, an advance directive (living will) spelling out your medical and end-of-life wishes.

  • A Will sets out who receives your property, who handles your estate, and who you’d prefer as guardian for minor children. We draft clear, practical Wills—from simple distributions to Wills with basic trust provisions for children or other beneficiaries.

  • Probate avoidance planning is about arranging your assets so they transfer smoothly at death, with less delay and court involvement. Depending on your situation, that may include beneficiary designations, joint ownership strategies, and/or a revocable living trust. We’ll recommend a plan that fits your goals and helps your family carry it out with minimal friction.

  • Trust-based planning adds structure, flexibility, and can reduce court involvement. We design Revocable Living Trusts with companion “pour-over” Wills, help with trust funding, and, when needed, prepare deeds to place real estate into the trust and build ongoing trusts for beneficiaries.

  • A trust only works if the right assets are titled in the trust (or otherwise coordinated with the plan). “Trust funding” is the process of aligning accounts, deeds, and beneficiary designations so the trust and related documents do what you intended. We’ll give you a clear funding roadmap tailored to your situation—what should be moved into the trust, what should not, and what needs beneficiary updates instead. If you prefer to handle the changes yourself, we’ll provide practical instructions. If you want help coordinating with banks or advisors, we can discuss options during the planning process.

  • If you own a business, your estate plan should address what happens to the business if you die or become incapacitated. Business succession planning coordinates ownership, control, and decision-making so the company can keep operating and your family isn’t left guessing. We help align your estate plan with your entity documents and your real-world goals for transition.
